Please join the Concours of America at St. John’s, Brembo, the National Automotive History Collection, Kiekert and a cadre of organizations and enthusiasts in support and appreciation of automotive heritage!

Teams of A-list journalists are assessing a record number of journalism entries, the Society of Automotive Historians is selecting an Automotive Heritage Concept Vehicle of the Year and the NAHC is identifying their Future Collectible Vehicle of the Year. Most important, we’re selecting our Lifetime Achievement Award honoree.

While we await the judging results for our Automotive Heritage Awards competitions it’s a good time to ask our friends, advocates, enthusiasts and others to help support our mission and these awards. Without sponsors this kind of project cannot survive, and we want to carry it well into the future.

Being a part of this project certainly has altruistic value and it can also be a good business decision for those who want to be part of our media-dense audience. Our master list of those interested and involved in this project comes from the ranks of automotive journalism augmented by enthusiasts of automotive history, culture and aesthetics – a growing and important community.

Lead sponsors include Brembo, the Concours d’Elegance of America and the National Automotive History Collection at the Detroit Public Library. The event is managed by Shunpiker Productions under the direction of the Automotive Heritage Foundation.

Sponsorship levels begin at $250. The Automotive Heritage Foundation, a 501(c)3 charitable non-profit, is the fiduciary for the project. Support can be offered through our Website, or by contacting Steve or Angie. Net proceeds will be used to support other projects related to our mission.

Sponsors will be able to add something to the Kiekert-provided gift bags we are assembling for our guests at the event. Within the gift bags will also be another beautifully presented press kit by our Web and social media company, Dorsay Creative of Pontiac.

Judging Underway for the 2019 Automotive Heritage Awards

Entries in our Automotive Heritage Journalism Competition presented by Kiekert nearly doubled this year. Our judges are hard at work determining the stories best told in ten categories.

Alex Buchan is preparing the individual trophies as well as the large permanent trophy for Lifetime Achievement. Awards will be presented at the Concours on July 28. Results will be posted immediately after the event. Class winners will be contacted once we have those in hand.

Automotive Heritage Lifetime Achievement trophy to be inducted into the LeMay in September

Our permanent Lifetime Achievement Award trophy will reside at the LeMay – America’s Car Museum in Tacoma, Washington. It will include the names of all previous winners displayed on the walnut base atop which is a bust of Louis Chevrolet created by Alex Buchan. The trophy will be on display at the AHA event at the Concours on July 28.
